The Story

In each piece we create, there’s a story - of place, of maker, of hand.

Hello, Dear Reader,

Let me tell you a little story.

For many years — across countries, cities, train stations, quiet streets and hidden workshops — I’ve been searching for handcraft.
Not just for beauty, but for the stories and meaning woven into each piece.

I visited handcrafters in quiet villages, small ateliers tucked behind flower-covered walls, and workshops where everything is made slowly, carefully, with intention. I listened. I learned. I watched - as things were made by hand, the old way, the true way.

From Mexico to India, Spain, through Austria, Italy, and France — each trip became part of a deeper journey. Wherever I went, I was drawn to the hands behind the work, places where time moves slower and everything is created with care.

Somewhere along the way, I began to understand what handmade really means - Not just in fabric and thread, but in spirit, in patience, in connection.

The result of these years — of travel, of learning, of falling in love with small, beautiful details - have gently shaped what you see here today - The Charm of Handmade Luxury.

We create thoughtful pieces in collaboration with some of the world’s most skilled artisans - to shine a light on their exceptional skills, celebrate their stories, and keep the spirit of true craftsmanship alive.

Rosa Frauenschuh was born in Austria, shaped in Paris, and inspired by the alpine traditions that are home to us.

Founded by Elisabeth Rosa Frauenschuh-Broz, with Rosa being her second name, passed down from her grandmother - who instilled in her a deep love for handcraft and beautiful pieces.

And finally, a thought close to our heart:

In a fast-moving world, we believe in slowing down.
In making fewer things, but making them well.
In creating clothing that lives with you — through seasons, stories, and time.

Thank you for being here!
More soon,
Rosa
